A 19-year-old man from Noti received a three-year hunting ban after admitting he had illegally shot and killed two deer in the Crow area, west of Eugene.

Hunter Dillen Johnson pleaded guilty Wednesday in Lane County Circuit Court to five misdemeanor charges related to the Oct. 26 poaching.

Johnson was sentenced to three years of probation and his hunting privileges will be suspended during that entire period.; Johnson also was ordered to pay $2,000 in restitution to the state, for illegally killing the black-tailed deer. One of the deer was a doe. The other was a spike-antlered buck.; In addition to probation and the hunting ban, Johnson was sentenced to four days in jail. He is expected to serve that time on a road crew.; Two rifles that had been in Johnson’s possession when he was stopped were forfeited to police.

The trooper issued tickets to two passengers in Johnson’s pickup for aiding in a wildlife offense, the affidavit says.
