A man was seriously injured Sunday morning when he went to retrieve an elk he shot the day before and was attacked by a grizzly bear.
The victim was attacked in the Warm Springs Drainage northwest of Dubois.
The victim on Saturday shot the elk and went back to retrieve it Sunday morning.
When he noticed the elk carcass had been moved or cached, he turned around to leave and was immediately attacked.
His injuries included a bite to the leg.
