MANITOWOC, Wis. (WTAQ) – A Manitowoc County man has been fined over 35-hundred-dollars for convictions on 10 charges of deer-poaching.
47-year-old Steven Kubec of Two Rivers also lost his hunting, fishing, and trapping privileges for 3 years. And he was ordered to give up six deer mounts, a skull mount, and almost 550 photos that were seized by the state DNR.
Kubec was found guilty on ordinance violations of not registering a deer, not validating a carcass tag, fraud in getting a license, three counts of using somebody else’s hunting license, and four charges of killing bucks beyond the limit for the bow and arrow season.
Meanwhile, Kubec faces 4 charges in Kewaunee County for illegal baiting.
