A recent pheasant hunting trip in Oconto County left Gov. Scott Walker with a minor injury.

He told reporters he injured it pheasant hunting in Oconto County late last week.

“Before I got (the gun) up to my shoulder I shot it, but pushed the safety off at the same time I pulled the trigger,” Walker explained.

“I found out when you do that, the recoil has to go somewhere, and in this case it went into my thumb.”
