LINCOLN COUNTY (WAOW) – Five men are accused of hunting deer illegally at night in two separate incidents in Lincoln County, according to the sheriff’s department.

The first incident happened last Monday, when a town of Harrison resident reported seeing two men shoot a deer at night, according to a news release.

Department of Natural Resources officials say a 23-year-old man will face charges including hunting deer with an artificial light, hunting deer during the closed season, possession of an un-tagged deer, discharging a firearm from a vehicle, possessing a loaded gun in a vehicle and trespassing. They say a 22-year-old man will also be charged with trespassing.

The second incident happened Saturday night in the town of Pine River, just east of Merrill.

The three men age in range from 18-51. No names were released in either incident.
