41-year-old Kenneth Corbin Green Jr. suffered life-threatening injuries when he was shot while walking through a cutover after being mistaken for game at a hunting club in King William County on Saturday.

The shooter, 51-year-old Sylvester Troy Brown, heard the sound of breaking limbs adjacent to his location. He then raised his shotgun and fired once after seeing movement, striking Green in his left and right leg from a distance of roughly 49 feet.
