The Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries is investigating a hunting accident that happened Saturday in Hiltons.
As a 57-year-old turkey hunter walked around a tree, the sling on his rifle slipped from his shoulder and discharged toward the 13-year-old victim, striking him in the lower abdomen.
