LOGAN — Christopher T. Richards, 24, was guiding a group of four pheasant hunters Saturday morning, at the Sportsman’s Paradise Hunting Club.

As Richards entered a small grove of trees to flush out some pheasants, a 12-year-old member of the group was standing at the opposite side of the grove and fired a 20-gauge shotgun at a pheasant. Richards was struck by six-to-eight pellets in his head and neck.
