A man was struck by a shotgun slug while sitting in his vehicle on Sunday morning, November 16th.

It was reported that the shot was fired by a resident that was hunting on land in the area.

The preliminary information corresponds with the initial report of a hunting accident, according to Freestone County Sheriff Don Anderson, who noted that the investigation into the shooting remains active.
