GEORGETOWN, Texas (KWTX) A two-month investigation of illegal deer hunting in Texas led to the arrest of a man and a woman Friday in Williamson County.

Richard Adams and Shelly Dannhaus were charged with taking certain wildlife resources without consent, stemming from allegations of hunting without landowner consent, Texas Game Warden Theron Oatman said.

Adams is facing a total of seven felony charges, Dannhaus is charged with a class A misdemeanor and both face a number of class C violations out of Caldwell County involving exceeding the annual bag limit for white-tail deer and possession of white-tail deer under 13 inches, Oatman said.
