Two Charged With Illegaly Hunting

Police arrested two 19-year-olds for allegedly hunting on land off Riverside Drive.

Two Stafford County men were arrested on charges of hunting without licenses and illegaly hunting wildlife At about 7:45 p.m. April 14.

Fredericksburg Police spokeswoman Natatia Bledsoe said police were in the area of the 400 block Riverside Drive when an officer hears supicious noises and observed two males on the riverbank shooting a high-powered pellet rifle at the waterfowl flying over the water.

Antonio Peterson, 19, and Nicholas Cerda, 19, were arrested at the scene.
Peterson and Cerda were released on summons and the pellet rifle and ammunition were seized for evidence, Bledsoe said.
