ROGERSVILLE — A Greene County man who was arrested in November for “spotlighting” a doe in a rural section of Hawkins County pleaded guilty Monday to several hunting violations.
Seth Aaron Landers, 19, of Afton, was arrested on Nov. 13, 2013 after allegedly using the headlights of his vehicle to “spotlight’ a doe on Van Hill Road south of Rogersville.
Landers also didn’t have a valid hunting license.
On Monday, Landers appeared before Hawkins County Sessions Judge J. Todd Ross, where he pleaded guilty to hunting without a license, hunting from a motorized craft, spotlighting, killing big game during closed season, and hunting from a public road.
He was sentenced to 11 months and 29 days of probation, fined $500, and his hunting privilege was suspended for one year.
