TIMBER LAKE, SD – According to court papers 39-year-old Douglas Kraft of Timber Lake and 32-year-old John Tschetter of Yale organized, led and encouraged a group of hunters to break state laws.
Undercover wildlife officers say violations include chasing deer with a pickup and shooting them from a pickup, failing to tag deer, hunting big game animals without a license and violating conditions of a license.
Charges against Tschetter recorded in court papers share reports of him hiding killed deer rather than tagging them. Those papers also say Kraft helped people hunting with him who used deer tags from previous years.
