BEAVER TOWNSHIP— Larry Maxwell and his son, Cody, were goose hunting in Beaver Township Friday when Maxwell stood his shotgun on its end, rested his two hands on top of the barrel and leaned on the gun, which then fired and shot through both of his hands.
Maxwell, in his 50s, was transported to Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls where he had surgery to repair his hands.
