SC: Man shot in hunting accident in Marion County dies

A man has been taken to the hospital after he was shot Saturday during a hunting accident on Highway 908 in the Brittons Neck community of Marion County, according to Marion County Sheriff Brian Wallace.

Marion County Coroner Jerry Richardson said Jerry Lorenzo Scott, 55, died at the hospital from a gunshot wound to the head.

Sheriff Wallace added they’re assisting that S.C. Department of Natural Resources (DNR) in the investigation.
