A 9-year-old Cranston girl was hurt by an arrow that ricocheted off the ground and struck her while she was walking a dog on Bain Street Tuesday afternoon. The girl suffered a puncture wound in her back, and CAT scan showed there were no internal injuries.

And 27-year-old Daniel King of Cranston is facing charges of criminal negligence (battery) for allegedly firing the arrow, which reportedly was meant for a pigeon in his driveway. King was initially charged with felony assault with a dangerous weapon and ordered held as a probation violator.
