GRASSFLAT — A 56-year-old man was injured Saturday in a hunting accident in Cooper Township — the second this month in Clearfield County. The hunter suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound on his lower right leg.

He was moving through rugged terrain and tripped while going down a mountain, causing the pistol that was located on his hip to discharge and shoot him in the leg.

The wound was not fatal.
