Indiana volunteer firefighters trudged through the woods of White Township to retrieve a deer hunter who fell from a tree near Martin Road on Saturday afternoon – the last day of antlered deer season.

The hunter, reported to be in his 50s, suffered a back injury when he fell along with a tree stand that he was removing.

He was alone when he fell.
