An Oklahoma Game Warden was one of many called out after the hunting accident.

MARTHA, OK (KSWO) -A Norman man was shot in the face Tuesday in a hunting accident in Jackson County.

Dillon Mauk and three other men were hunting geese on private property and had set up several goose decoys in a wheat field. The property owner saw the decoys from a distance, thought they were real and fired his .22 pistol at them several times hoping to scare them away. When the geese stayed put, he fired several more shots and ultimately hit Mauk in the mouth.

He was taken to the OU Medical Center to have surgery to remove the bullet.
