ADA — Ted Burns pleaded no contest to a citation of taking a black bear out of season. He received a 90-day deferred sentence and paid a $946 fine, according to district court officials.
Tyler Howser, a game warden with the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation, asked Burns why he felt it was necessary to kill the bear dead instead of allowing it to run away and Burns responded that he did not want something like a black bear in his backyard.
