A Rochester man is facing reckless endangerment charges after a hunting incident that took place Friday afternoon in Naples.

Thirty-year-old Jesse Northrop was shooting at a deer when he fired a 12 gauge deer slug directly at a home. According to deputies, the shot was taken from a distance of 414 feet. Deputies say numerous other homes on East Avenue were also in the line of fire.

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation will issue hunting violations to Northrop.
