GILBOA — Sheriff Tony Desmond said an 83-year-old man was pronounced dead following a 911 call reporting a hunter stricken in the woods on Becker Road in the town of Gilboa.
In an unrelated incident, a 47-year-old man as struck in the lower back after his handgun fired accidentally after the hunter fell on Thanksgiving Day. He was hunting in the town of Esperance.
