CHESTER, N.Y. (AP) – Terry Lavergne, 53, of Warrensburg, N.Y. was killed Saturday at about 8:20 a.m. in the woods near Chester.
The Warren County sheriff’s office says he was hunting with two others and was standing still when he was struck in the hip by a single round fired from a .308-caliber rifle. The bullet struck his femoral artery.
