A 63-year-old hunter was shot in the leg at the Peconic River Sportsman Club in Calverton by a fellow member who accidentally discharged his gun while attempting to unload it Sunday morning, Riverhead Town police said.
Both the victim and the 82-year-old shooter were situated in hunting blinds when the incident occurred about 10:30 a.m.
