A Geneva, Ontario County, hunter was injured by a deer who struck him in the back early Friday.
Donald Guard, 62, was walking through the woods in Phelps when he was struck from behind and knocked to the ground by a deer.
Deputies said a hoof mark was found on Guard’s clothing, and Guard, unable to get up, fired his shotgun to alert his nearby brother, Clarence.
