It’s the first time Davis County’s new truck has been used in a rescue. And it was perfectly designed for the terrain.
Around 11 a.m. Christmas Eve, three duck hunters got stuck in 13-foot reeds called phragmites west of Syracuse.
The three men, all in their twenties are on active duty at Hill Air Force Base.
The men were hunting when mud and water leaked into their waders and bogged them down.
The men, all in good physical condition, tried to walk out but were unable so they called 911 sheriffs say.
The men were rescued and uninjured.
