DEERFIELD, N.H. —Rescuers found a woman who was missing for 16 hours after she got lost while hunting in Deerfield on Wednesday.

Officials said Donna Poplar, 57, was found about 8 a.m. Thursday near South Road.

Rescuers said Poplar went hunting about 4 p.m. Wednesday in the woods behind her home. After a few hours, her husband went looking for her and couldn’t find her. He called police about 9 p.m.

Several law enforcement agencies, including Fish and Game K-9 crews, spent more than 12 hours looking for Poplar.

“She appeared a little bit disoriented, but physically, she was active,”
said helicopter pilot Dave Linares. “She appeared in good health and was very happy to be found. She was surprised that she was found, but happy she was found.”

Officials said Poplar was suffering from hypothermia and was taken to a hospital.
