GREENVILLE, N.C. – Melvin Boyd Jr., 57, is dead following a hunting accident in Pitt County Monday evening.
The North Carolina Wildlife Resource Commission says it appears Boyd accidentally shot himself; however, they are waiting on an official report from the Medical Examiner’s Office.
