Casey T. McGee, 32, pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor counts of hunting bull elk without a valid permit and a misdemeanor charge of illegal possession of a game animal. His sentence includes fines, restitution and surcharges of more than $5,000, 18 months in jail with all but nine days suspended and loss of hunting, fishing and trapping privileges for five years.
Under the terms of the plea agreement, one of the felony counts was amended to the non-trophy, misdemeanor charge. The other felony was dismissed per a four-year deferred prosecution agreement that will see the charge dropped if McGee meets the terms of his sentence.
