Two bald eagles were discovered, one apparently shot and wounded, near the Barnett Reservoir Sunday and the wounded bird was later rushed to an animal hospital to be treated.

A man found the eagles sitting on the ground, appearing to be incapable of flying. The wounded bird had blood on its head. X-rays revealed several shotgun pellets lodged in the skin but it was unclear if that was what caused the bleeding.
