Mississippi is only three months into the 2014-2015 hunting season, but a dozen accidents resulting in injuries have already been reported.
Of the 12 accidents reported this year, seven involved tree stands. The most recent accident occurred when a tree stand collapsed as the hunter was descending. He is reported to be paralyzed from the waist down. The remaining five accidents involved firearms.
