Emergency crews and Mississippi Department of Wildlife Fisheries and Parks conservation officers were called to property east of Houston Saturday night to help a hunter who had fallen out of a deer stand.

Tommy Beasley, of Verona, fell out of his deer stand and injured his head and back.

Beasley was taken by ambulance to North Mississippi Medical Center about 9 p.m., where he was treated and released.
