Lake Shore teen shoots himself in the foot while hunting
LAKE SHORE, Minn. — A 16-year-old boy from Lake Shore, Minn., sustained injuries after shooting himself in the foot with his 20-gauge shotgun on Thursday while deer hunting.
The accident was reported to police at 1:38 p.m. Thursday. The man was scoping out hunting areas with another 15-year-old male on state land near Fritz Loven Park in Lake Shore.
Police believe the 16-year-old boy was resting the barrel of the shotgun on his boot when it discharged. He was transported to Essentia Health in Brainerd.
