On a remote lake, CO Mitch Lawler (Alexandria) encountered an angler leaving with an over-limit of northerns and crappies. Lawler had seen the angler catch three northern pike, take them out of his live well and give them to another angler who wasn’t having much luck.
The angler then continued to catch and keep more pike, not knowing he had exceeded his daily limit. The illegal fish were seized and enforcement action was taken.
