Robert Duane Peterson, 69, has died after accidentally shooting himself in the chest while in his deer stand in Automba Township on Sunday.
Peterson is the second hunter killed during the opening weekend of Minnesota’s firearms deer season.
Paul Scholl, 50, was shot while hunting southeast of Mahnomen on Saturday afternoon.
