Maine game wardens said they have located two men in connection to a hunting incident Monday morning.

Wardens said a 55-year-old man was shot in the face with birdshot while hunting off Mosher Road in Gorham.

The incident happened across the street from Shaw Bros. Construction.

After a brief interaction between the two men and the victim, the two men left quickly.

Wardens said Tuesday afternoon that they have identified the men and they are cooperating with the investigation.

The names of the men were not released.

Wardens said the man shot in the face is recovering well.
