ELLSWORTH — An Eastbrook man will serve eight months in the Hancock County Jail and pay $12,000 in fines after pleading guilty this week to 26 charges, of which the majority were hunting violations.

Ralph Fowler was sentenced to 364 days in jail with all but eight months suspended.

In the past, Fowler displayed a complete disregard for hunting laws and rules and his activities clearly had an impact on the local deer population said officials.
