HANCOCK — A hunter who was rescued after injuring his leg Monday morning west of Hancock has been identified by authorities as Ezra Glenn III, 59.
Glenn became stranded about a mile into the woods after he slipped on leaves and rocks, and hurt his leg.
Rescuers had to hike about a quarter mile up the side of a mountain, where they used a Stokes basket — a kind of stretcher used in search and rescue operations — and ropes to lower the hunter to safety.
