CUMBERLAND, Md. (AP) — A western Maryland man has had his hunting privileges suspended for two years to resolve charges that he shot two black bears out of season.
The Cumberland Times-News reports that 31-year-old Charles Evans of LaVale was charged in November with killing a 180-pound female bear and shooting a cub that was not recovered. He allegedly shot the animals in the Green Ridge State Forest near Oldtown.
