HAYDEN, AL (WBRC)- A man went to UAB Hospital after falling from a tree while coyote hunting in Blount County.
The man, in his 40s, went hunting for coyotes around 8:30am Monday around Holt Circle near Hayden. He told medics that he’d climbed a tree for a better view when he fell. His family became concerned later that day and went to the area to search for him. They found him after 3pm and called authorities.
West Blount Fire Department responded to the call and said they had to hike a mile from the road to reach the man. They said he complained of back and leg pain. They believe he may have fallen onto his feet from 20-25 feet.
The man was transported to by Lifesaver and the fire department said they expect him to recover. Check back with MyFoxAl.com for updates.
