DRACUT — Charles Toupin, 63, died Saturday while on a hunting trip in a remote part of Idaho.

Toupin had spent months planning the trip to one of the more remote areas in the lower 48 states.

The trip to the area around the Elk River was Toupin’s second to Idaho. He didn’t get an elk on his first trip, and this time had permits to hunt elk, bear and several other animals.
