ALEXANDRIA, Louisiana — The Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office says the fatal
weekend shooting of an Alexandria man was the result of a hunting accident.
The victim was 37-year-old John Michael Haynes. The Sheriff’s Office said
Haynes was shot around 7 a.m. Saturday by a fellow hunter who thought he was
firing at a deer.
