WINNSBORO, La. – Two Louisiana men have received citations for reportedly night hunting on Nov. 12 in Franklin Parish.
Claude B. Roberts and Cody A. Barton allegedly killed a deer during illegal hours, hunted from a public road and from a moving vehicle.
Barton was also cited for discharging a firearm from a public road .Killing deer during illegal hours carries a maximum $950 fine and up to 120 days in jail. Hunting from a public road and discharging a firearm from a public road each carries a maximum $350 fine and up to 60 days in jail.
Hunting from a moving vehicle brings a maximum $500 fine and up to 90 days in jail.
