WICHITA, Kansas – Dove season is off to a rough start now that four men were caught in Ellis County by game wardens with more than 200 doves.
“The limit is about 15 doves a day so that was about 109 over the limit between the four of them,” said Ron Kaufman with the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks.
Kansas Department of Wildife Parks and tourism says doves are migratory birds, violatng the federal law could mean hefty fines or worse jail time if found guilty.
