Dear C.A.S.H. Members and Supporters
by Jim Robertson
Spring salutations to all of you anti-hunting animal enthusiasts out there! A lot has happened here at C.A.S.H. since Winter has waned and the Earth has tilted back in our favor (so to speak).
This year, some of the hunting accidents we’ve added to our brand new website (check it out, https://abolishsporthunting.org) would make good candidates for Darwin Awards rather than simple sportsman’s snafus (blunders, foul-ups, slipups or false steps, you name it) that seem to happen all too often during the commencement of the alleged “sport.”

Some of this years’ instant classics include headlines such as, “Utah hunter shot after another mistakes decoy for live turkey.” Apparently, the victim was hiding in vegetation behind their decoys when yet another hunter thought it was his target species. That hunter “stalked in and fired” at the decoys, hitting the hunter behind them. One of the few lucky ones, the victim only received emergency medical treatment for the gunshot wound and presumably lived to hunt another day.
Meanwhile, an American trophy hunter in Africa who was after a rare species of antelope to add to his collection wasn’t so lucky. After a lifetime of “successful” trophy kills, that elderly hunter met his match when five forest elephants (a group of females and a baby) trampled him to death.
Now, before you get the wrong idea that we here at the Committee to Abolish Sport Hunting have a morbid curiosity about how many hunters had “tragic” Hunting Accidents or committed Hunting Violations, part of C.A.S.H.’s task is to educate the public about the realities of sport hunting.
Feel free to visit our new website and find out for yourself,
Jim Robertson
