An Odon man was taken to the hospital after a tree stand accident Saturday morning on the opening day of Indiana’s deer firearms season.

Indiana Conservation Officers say that 36-year-old Philip L. Knepp had just climbed into a fixed position tree stand and when he heard something ‘pop’.
Officers say the stand gave way, and Knepp fell approximately 25 feet.

Knepp was treated for back injuries.
