A Marion County man accidentally shot himself in the foot Saturday while deer hunting in a remote area of Jennings County, police said.
Tony L. Dotson, 20, was taken by helicopter to Indianapolis for treatment.
Dotson told investigators that he was walking out of a field when he slipped and fell, causing his 12-gauge shotgun to discharge. The foot injury is not believed to be life-threatening.
