Name of hunter hurt in Posey Co. tree stand accident released
POSEY CO., IN (WFIE) – According to the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, 51-year-old Terry Wheeler was exiting his tree stand Sunday morning near Point Township when he lost his footing on the ladder near the top of the stand.
Wheeler fell roughly 14 feet onto his back.
He was taken by medical helicopter to Deaconess Hospital where he is currently being treated in the intensive care unit.
