IL: Man injured Saturday in Serena-area hunting accident

The La Salle County Sheriff’s Office and Illinois Conservation Police responded Saturday to a hunting accident near Serena.

An adult man was injured, having a gunshot wound. No other information was released to The Times by the La Salle County Sheriff’s Office or Illinois Conservation Police as of Sunday night.

The incident remains under investigation.

A late-winter deer hunting season was in effect Dec. 27 to Dec. 30 in Illinois.
