HAYDEN, Idaho — James Brummett, 74, went on a hunting trip near Hayden Lake in November and illegally put out bait for deer.
But Brummett said he knew it was against the law. He even said that he got caught using bait the year before.
An Idaho Fish and Game spokesperson said the law against using bait is uniform across the state and that there are not any exceptions.
